Jet Power Module
Jet Power Module
Performance Products is advertising a product for the Z28, a Jet Power Module. It is supposed to replace the OEM chip and Modify air/fuel ratio and fine tune the ignition timing, fuel injection performance . Has anyone installed this? Any opinions on performance enhancement?

We have computers with roms that can be flashed (written to)..
This probably goes inline with the existing wiring to give the computer a set of values to go off of. I think most people here will say to just get LS1edit or have your car tuned..
For handheld solutions, Diablo Sport Predator and Hypertech are the main ones people use..
Hope this helps..
A couple of years back I read an article in Road & Track or Motor Trend where they tested these on LS1's. The cars they used were 1 each auto and M6 Z28's and 1 each auto & M6 Formula or T/A.
Both of the M6 cars got less than a .10 in the quarter while both auto cars got between .2-.3 better in the quarter than stock. The "tuning" didn't do much, but it really helped firm up the shifting in the automatics.
I had one in my LT1 95 Z28 (auto), and I'm not sure how much more "power" it gave me, but it was insane how much harder it shifted. Stock you could just feel the 2-3 shift, but with the chip it would really push you back at the 2-3 point.
My opinion:
M6 car: save your money.
Auto: Worthwhile if you cn find one used for CHEAP (got my 95's for $50 off the "For Sale" section).
