Info On Changing Stuff In PCM To Match My 42# Injectors.
I originally planed to install the stock injectors for first startup because I want to eliminate anything I could that may cause a problem on first startup with the new motor. I planned on using stock injectors and stock throttle body. I am still going to use the stock throttle since I heard that the 58MM one might not run perfectly right away. I want to be sure the moror runs before I put that in.
anyway. so with injectors, installing them and chaning a frew numbers in the pcm will work just fine right?.. there is no tuning other than involved?..
if so, what exactly to Ineed to change?
I have these http://www.racetronix.com/621031.html
thanks

Change the injector constant to 42lb/hr. probably want to lower your min injector pulsewidth constant to 1.2ms or so. You can probably get by without the min injector pulsewidth but that kinda depends on your combo. Try it first just changing your injector constant.
oh, so your telling me its not a simply swap and number changed.. if I use the new injectors and it does not start they could be the cause..
I think for now I will just use the stock injectors then. then once I know it runs ok. I will put the 43#'s in.
thanks

I'm telling you thats exactly what they are a plug and chug operation. the other deal wont cause any trouble, its just something that sometimes need to be done dont worry about it for now it wont hurt a thing.
Change the constant to 42lb/hr and fire it up.

oh. ok.. So. I look under PCM Constant and I see injector flow rate:

but it is a large number>?. do I need to convert it or somehting?.. done I also have to do somehting with resistance or somehting?

hmm.. well the one I posted was from a stock pcm. or so I was told.. so why would it be so high?.. unless maybe I messed with it and accidently saves it. I did play with it but I dont thin i saved it.. hmm.. I need to get a flash that I know is from a stock 95 Z28 M6.
but whats with the Display Injector Flow rate?.. whats that mean?..

You probably used the wrong def file to open, probably the $EEb version. That's for some very early 94 LT1s that used a slightly different def file from the standard $EE that came later. It'll display some very crazy numbers if you open a $EE with $EEb or vice versa.
