Idle Air Control Defaults in LT1Edit?

What do these do? Doesn't the IAC control itself anyway? Are these for open loop before the engine warms up?

Are they just default values for the IAC start position, like if you fire up the car and coolant temp is 56 degrees, the IAC goes to 30 to begin and then starts adjusting from there?

BTW, my IAC is at 31 @ warmed up idle, coolant temp was 200F. According to the LT1Edit table, the IAC steps are 7 for that temp.

Also, the IAC throttle follower values just control how fast the car comes back to idle after the gas is let off correct? So when I'm shifting from 2-3rd for example in my M6, the RPM drops faster between shifts with lower values in this table? That seems to be my experience.

The IAC motor park position vrs temp table tells the PCM where to set the IAC motor for starting purposes for different coolant temperatures. (Cold strart, warm start, etc.) Once the motor is running, the PCM will adjust the IAC motor position for the desired idle speed.
If set too high, the RPMs will go too high upon starting and then come down to the commanded value. This assuming you start your engine without stepping on the gas.
