ideal PCM for forced induction setup

I have both a speed density and obd II pcm and harness, one out of a 93 and one out of a 97. Was wondering which would be best in regards to tuning for a forced induction setup. I realize that burning the chip for the 93 computer is a pain, but i don't know much about tuning with OBDII. Im also not sure if i should just break down and go with an aftermarket setup.

How much boost are you running? The stock computer will do 15psi of boost on an LT1 quite well in speed density mode, we have alot of guys doing it here with a 2 bar tune.

i dont plan on running more than one bar anytime soon. Is this possible without changing the factory tune?

Yes, if you use an MSD BTM box and pull about 2 degrees per psi of boost. There's other stuff that should be changed in the tune anyway though.

Trust me, if you pull 30 degress of timing (15psi x2) you would be better off running no boost at all. 3 Degress of timing at WOT is not good for power.
