how to "log" a run w/freescan

how do i "log" a run? I have freescan and im taking my labtop to the track today but im not to sure how to "log" a run to see whats going on...any help?

When I use it, I click "Log ECU Coms to Disk" and I click "Start" under that. For each button you will enter a filename to save your log.
