How do I change VIN# in the PCM.

I want to know how to change the VIN# in the PCM. I know there are programs or tools out there for it. If anyone could help I would really appreciate it. I am needing this. I dont know if you actually change it on the PCM or just the data files you save off the PCM. But let me know. THanks

TunerCat will do it.

I don't have it on this computer, but I think it's called "Change VIN"

I am referring to changing the VIN in the PCM.

I have OBD1, but I expect that OBD2 has the same functionality.

It is still sold, just not by tunercat:

The JET version of Tunercat's OBD2 stuff does not support VIN updating in the PCM. I'd guess the version of TunerCat's OBD2 stuff before JET does, though. But its no longer available.

The GT Tuner we developed can change the VIN in the PCM for you. If you're interested in using it for this purpose, send me an email at vince@trifectaperformance.com and we can discuss.
