How to d'load $EE.zdf on Windows 8?
I have Windows 8 on my laptop and downloaded TunerPro RT V5. I need to d'load & install the $EE.xdf definition file to install in the program. When I right click on the file a window opens with the choices: Copy Link, Copy Link as, Open link. If I right click either Copy nothing happens. If I right click Open Link the def. list appears. Left clicking any of the choices brings up the programming language jibberish. What am I needing to do? I've been trying to get this done for quite some time but am now out of ideas. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Forgive my fat-fingering the title...should read .xdf there. Anyway, I figured out where I needed to zag when I zigged & am gonna retrace my steps & document them meticulously for future reference. It is MUCH more complicated on Windows 8 but once I document the procedure I, or another member, can work on eliminating some of them if that can be done. I still need to d'load the winflash to import tuning changes to my PCM I do believe. Hopefully THAT won't involve much.

Sorry don't have an answer for w/8 .. windows XP right click popup has a ' save link as ' option that opens up the download screen. I do have an alternative source to tunerpro.net . Go to this thread 16188051 and 16181333 PCM Information $EE $EEB scroll down to post #10 , left click on the $EE-16188051-v2.xdf and you should get the 'save as ' popup . By the way I have had problems with the tunerPro.net files, jittery connections, etc. The files from gearhead-efi.com were more reliable.

The list didn't show any -v2.xdf in it bobdec. That is a good source of info. it appears to me so I did register as a member. Thanks for that link. Any idea why I didn't see that version listed when I clicked on the link?

Sorry typo, I'm running $EE-16188051-v3.xdf definitions not v2 . Yes very good site, lots of info, they picked up for the monodax forum that folded late last year.

Got both files d'loaded. These look to have more mb's than off the TunerPro site...oh well. Can't wait to hook it up & get a baseline on my red Z28, and see just exactly what's deleted and how it's tuned for the cam. Thanks for your help bobdec.

Re: How to d'load $EE.zdf on Windows 8?
I setup the .xdf file and tried both the 3.2 & 3.8 adx files from the GH list...both seem to work the same. I can't tell what the difference is between them. I get readings on the data list views but it only comes up on the bottom of my screen about 1.5 inches. I gotta scroll up & down to see the list....same with the dash I tried to set up. I can't figure out how to set up a file to record the data I wanna monitor. I'm getting the hang of this slowly but again I'm stumped.
