heads/cam: files, advice, false knock
heads/cam: files, advice, false knock
I want to set the computer for an A4 LT1 with stage 2 heads and cam 212/224 114, 52mm TB, LT headers. Where do I start to maximize power for these mods. Anyone with a similar file or advice welcomed and appreciated. Was going to look at blower car with same cam from that new list of files, but it only saves as text file.
It will eventually be used with N20 after injector upgrade and fuel system upgrade.
Also, how do you go about setting the timing if you have 1.6rr's and an LT1km. In other words, if the rr's are causing knock how do you know when to pull back the timing?
Or how do you distinguish when it's false or not? Besides getting an LT4km what can you do?

There are two different directions to find out if you most likely have false knock:
1.) Put real 104 unlead octane in your car, not unleaded, not the junk you get a Trak Auto in the little bottle. Any knock that is real will go away, false knock will show the same
2.) Find out how much timing is being pulled from the knock, or just guess and take out about 10 degrees where the knockinc occurs (let's say 3-5000RPM), if the knocking continues, it's most likely false (basically you already did what the computer was going to do, pull out the timing)
Hope that helps.

Using tunercat which tables should I change? I believe the %Change to Fuel/Air Ratio Vs. RPM at WOT needs to be changed but don't know how to find the right # to use. What other tables must change and how?
