hard wiring oxygen sensor

hard wiring oxygen sensor

we are sorting out a 97 m6 i got last week and today we were addressing the after cat o2 sen and found the pcm side of the connection boogered up and now i read you can't hard wire them so I find efi connections and the picture shows what looks to be the connector i need on one end but then bare wires to the pcm-if this is true it means wires still have to be spliced right? what am i missing

There is no harm in splicing the car harness.
