It got cold, now lots of black smoke at WOT?? couple other questions to
Its been high 80s mostly here and high humidity. i tuned my car to what i though was lean and it was running great with lots of power. now a cold fromt blew through and its been about 15* cooler and dry.
I got on the gas and it felt smooth but maybe not as fast and when i looked behind me there was alot of black smoke??
Kinda currious how to fix that.
Although i am currious, im actuly try to start from scratch again and try different things
In the past i have run open loop with both a 5-10% increase in my MAF tables and about a .2-.7 % increase in injector constant. for example if i had 24# i would put 25.7 ish. I also run the BLMs permanatly locked a 128. (seperate program)
this worked great untill i got o2s and went back to clsd loop. now it seem its hard to get it to do what i want it to do.
I am trying this right now
3* of advance across both load VS advance tables
26# injectors
5% MAF increase
ANd no more BLM locker.
what do you think? to much advance? to random? should i keep the blm locker?
Car used to be H&c, now is stock with 1.6 RR, stg 3 ported heads and LTs, m6

well if your car is running rich you should lower the maf tables to tell the pcm that you have less air coming in so it will lean it out.
just unlock the blms. so the car is not in open loop. what happen is that you were running open loop and the pcm was set to a certain a/f ratio but sence you up the maf tables (and told it to dump more fuel because you had more air coming in) and put the o2s it now thinks it has alot of air and it dont. there where the black smoke is coming from. your way to rich.
just start pulling out some air using the maf tables. until you get them idling at 128.
i think your ok on the timing, but you need to see if your getting knockfrom predetnation if so pull out some of the timing.
and dont forget to correct for the new 26 lbs injectors.

I tried that above programing idea i suggested and it didn;t feel good at all. so i backed out the timing to add 1* accros the board ans 2* in certain spaces.
also i am running an injector constant of 26.590 in my stock injectors and a MAF tables mulitpled by 93
runs good but it doing something wierd now
The O2s oridginally cam out perfect, about 128 in clsd loop at idle with the o2s going from 60-100 mv
So i did a couple WOT runs witch felt alright, but then when i stopped again and let it idle, the O2s stayed at like 700-950 mv ??
i drove home and sat it the drive way watching them for a while and over the couse of 5 mins the sllllloooowwwwly came down to maybe 400s, still varing up and down. also the fuel trim made it way up to 150-160
