Frogot How TO Read the PCM (TunerCat) ~ Been A While!

i did some basic tuning to my car last year before I blew it up 37 miles after the rebuild. I need to get back into the computer and play with it again (the failure had nothing to do with the tune).. anyway I cant for the life of me remember how I read the pcm. is there somehting in tunercar for reading the pcm?.. why cant I find it?. lol. Thanks

ahh Ic. the tools menu is only visable on the $EE def file since you dont flash the PCM with the other def file you use those chips.. ok, just had to change to my def file (DOH) ok.. that was a smart move. I would have figured that out once I had the program on my laptop and in the car. I was just doing a trial run in the house to see if i remembered. ok.. all cleared up. Thanks!

That tab is greyed out on my screen, I can't choose the def. file. What am I doing wrong? When I open the program, the only tabs that are black (choosable) are : files, tables, options, and help.

I need to access my current tune that pcmforless did to verify the timing!

You need to load that data file into the correct file area on your system (I forget where). If you lost it send a message to Cat with your email and they'll mail a replacement. If you don't own it buy it for $19.

Yeah, I did. You need to drop it into the default folder (c:\Program Files\CATS\Tuner).

I was just reading the manual again, and it states if you only have one def. file, then tunercats will select it automatically if it is in the right area (which then disables the ecm tab). Well, it was in the right spot... but a bunch of my menus are grayed out still (including tools).

I also tried putting the file in the obd2tuner folder per my email instructions... no luck.
