Freescan & W2k SP4
Freescan & W2k SP4
On freescan's website it only lists windows 2000 sp1 through sp3
I have sp4 on my laptop and it doesnt work with it. I get an error that says "The system cannot find the file specified" when I try to open the program.
How can I make this work? or what other program WILL work on SP4?
Is there a way to downgrade from sp4 to sp3?

I suppose I'll try to reinstall it and see if that solves the problem
EDIT: Didn't solve the problem but I suppose it may be the millions of windows updates I never installed? Im doing that now...

Still doesn't want to work
EDIT: I can get it up and running but when I try to start communications with ECU it just keeps flooding the status message box with "finding header data" or something of the like, and unrecognized header data.
Could this be because of the USB to Serial port converter that I'm using or is it something else?
EDIT #2: What it keeps saying is stuff like
P: 20 - Finding start header
P: 26 - Finding start header
P: 71 - Unrecognised header
P: ff - Unrecognised header
Bytes Sent: 0
Bytes Received: 9943
it goes one way for awhile and then switches to the other. I suppose I'll try returning this and going with a Belkin adapter. Wish me luck

I just checked and I am running SP4.
I imagine it's your converter, yep. I have heard of problems with some of the brands. I believe the Belkin does work, however, as some in this forum have posted.
