Question Freescan data problems

I'm having a problem with Freescan (rev 2.1.0) when I'm capturing data to a .CSV file. Most times, the program will stop writing a new record to the file. Instead it will keep saving a repeat of the most recent saved record. This can happen at anytime during the session. I'm running Freescan on a laptop running vista Home Premium. I run the pgm as the system administrator and have tried no special compatibility, XP compat and 98 compat but the problem continues. I've tried turning off some of the vista system overhead such as search indexing, defender and restore point saves. I've reinstalled Freescan too. The Freescan "data window" keeps showing data flow but while "bytes received" continues to increase the "bytes sent" will stop increasing. If I tap the "force data" button once or twice "bytes sent" starts incrementing and the file gets new data written to it. The Freescan settings are "interact" and the problem happens at various save rates and someimes when just looking at the "dash board" or "engine data" (not saving data) those windows will freeze and I have to use the "force data" button to resume. I've used TunerCAT to read and write tunes without any difficulties but the Freescan problem is making me very nervous about any future writes to the PCM. Has anyone else had this problem and solved it?
