freescan

I've been running freescan and I'm trying to understand it, but I can't get the a/f ratio to come up and the engine management screen. Also the rich/lean R + L stays at 0 and the coolant temp stays at -40 C. Any info on how to get these items to work properly? Everything else seems to work and log fine.. thanks

my freescan also does not use the rich/lean.it is always at 0.i dont think the afr is shown either.about your coolant temp -40 is the default for a bad/unplugged sensor.the gauge in the dash uses the sensor in the drivers side head, but the computer/freescan uses the one in the water pump.you need to check that sensor to see if it is bad.if it is bad your car will never go into open loop and not run very well.

Tunercat was never setup to show us an AF, especially since you can't really read that with a narrow band O2. Why the area is there at all I know know, if anyone is using it I am sure it isn't Andrew who put it there for us to use, I assume Andy W. put it there to use either on his own car or for FUTURE utilization.

Remember a narrow band is only accurate around 14.7:1 and thats what closed loop does, so if your BLMs are between 108 and 160 then you know your 14.7:1 as best as the computer can do, if your 108 or 160 then you could be out of that range.
