Flickering gauges on start up

All of a sudden when start the car it resets my trip and all my gauges top out to the right, reset back to left like when the car is off and then to the point where they should be. Whats the problem here? It has does this like once a month or so until now, which is every time i start the car.

sounds like a bad/weak battery or weak battery connection.

Yep, the '99 cars can do that with low battery voltage. GM issued a TSB on it to replace the gauge cluster, but a good battery makes it go away.

Make sure the replacement is at least a 690 CCA.
