Fixing exhaust leak made split BLMs much worse!

The right header gasket on my 95 Caprice was leaking something awful. Before changing the gasket, my BLMs were split slightly. Today, after having the gasket replaced, my BLMS are very widely split - 144 on one side and 128 on the other, especially at idle and light loads/light throttle. What can cause this?

BTW, the car is a 95, OBDI, tuned initially by Bryan Herter, with a 383 Golen's engine in it (new), new Hooker shorty headers, new Flowmaster exhaust, new O2 sensors.

Thanks!

BTW, the cam is 220/230 with 114, with new O2 sensors. I did recently clean the TB, but while on the car. Will probably remove from the car and clean the right way - it's incredible how much oil was in the intake when I sprayed the cleaner in - WOW!

Any other suggestions?

try closing your throttle blades with the idle screw, this will redirect more of the air to go through the IAC passages instead of the blades & fix up the split.

Unfortunately that doesn't always work, as I'm chasing a similar problem, and while closing the throttle blades helps, it didn't quite cure it.
