Few supercharger tuning questions please...
Few supercharger tuning questions please...
Getting ready to put an S-trim on my Z and had a few questions about tuning with Tunercat. I have the 6lb pulley on it but at my altitude, it will probably run more like 4 or 5lbs. I have 30lb injectors on it and also a 255 in the tank. I'm not anticipating a lack of fuel issue, but who knows. Anyway, I'd like to tune it without the FMU. If I go this route, what changes do I need to make in the program as far as richening it up for daily driving and WOT when the boost starts kicking in. Also as far as timing goes, should I stick with the Crane setup with boost retard, or can I cut the timing down in my tune. If I do that, where do I need to cut it down at? Across the board or just in the WOT table? Also, what kind of A/F ratio should I be shooting for? Around 12:1 or lower? Many more questions, but that will get me started for now. Thanks in advance.

Re: Few supercharger tuning questions please...
I have the same questions. Everyone I have had advise from always say 'take timing out and add fuel'. But HOW MUCH OF EACH? I have the Hi-6TR also, but I think I want to pull timing out of my program also. With my setup, I will be installing 42lb injectors in place of my 30's. All I am doing is adding 6 psi of boost also, so what do I need to do with my Fuel tables, other than changing my inj. constant? Thanks for any and all help for the both of us!
Re: Few supercharger tuning questions please...
I'm more worried about the fuel part of things. I'm thinking I may stick with the Crane timing retard cause it retards it based on boost. It's a no brainer. I want to know how to tune it fuel wise from a part throttle/driveability perspective and from a WOT perspective. I'll have some dyno time, but i'd like to know where to start and a rough estimate for before I get to the dyno.
