FAST Question

I have a bolt on car, but after this winter it will be a heads and cam car with high stall. Would FAST be overkill? Should I just go with tunercat or lt1 edit? I know that FAST is quite a bit more expensive than the other two.

My own personal view is that LT1 Edit is fine for NA cars and you should only need to consider a FAST for a boost car. Even then, there are many guys running boost cars with LT1 Edit but personally I prefer the FAST.

Personally if you have a bolt on car and not running a turbo, as Shawn stated i would stay with LT1 Edit or Tunercat. IMO it would probably be overkill. But i suppose if you ever plan on running a extreme engine combo or turbo it would be well worth the investment. Just my .02 cents

Thanks for the advice.....that is what I thought. I'll just stick with LT1 Edit.

Kevin97Z28....I noticed that you were from Memphis....I am from Jackson, TN...I actually work out of memphis for Bellsouth. Are there any good dyno tuners down there? And how is the street racing down there? Once I get my car the way I want it, I plan on making a trip down to the motorsports park. All we have here is an 1/8 mile track

TN94Z, Ok cool I have family that lives right outside of Jackson, Matter of fact i was just there couple weeks ago.

As far as dyno tuners Advanced Performance is the only one i know of. T.J. is one of our FAST dealers and is very knowledgable with the L98/LT1 motors. Might want to chat with him when you get ready to tune.

Yea some of my Mustang buddies races in Jackson some. After all its a mustang track isnt it? haha........
I go to the motorsports park on Tues Test/Tune......Thurs night are usually bogged down and dont get many runs in.
Doesn't Gleason have a 1/8 track?

Yeah I think Gleason has one but Jackson is like 10 min. from the house...Mustang track indeed....we are trying to get more F-bods down there. I have some friends with mustangs and camaros so...There are two of us z's that have 396's, so they are getting down. Then I have a buddy whose father in law has an 86 lx running 6.30's spinning with a 427 on a 150 shot. That car really gets down. Yeah I have talked to TJ..one of my good friends with the 396 has FAST on his car and I had to take the computer to TJ because it got fried.
