Fans arent going on...i tested them

i tested the fans and they do work.changed fan relays out.i did notice however i blow a fan fuse (10 amp red) everytime i start the car.i changed the fuse and right after i start it,it blows.none of my fans turn on when driving, and i throw a fan #1 code.

im guessing i have a short somewhere.can someone explain to me how i would go about finding the short and what a short is??im guessing i need a voltage meter.does anyone know which fan is fan 1?pass or driver?

You have short to ground somewhere in that circuit. That fuse also feeds the EGR solenoid, Evap purge solenoid, both O2 sensors. That fuse is for controls not motor loads. The motors are on a fusible link.

thanks for the reply but something really bad just happened today.i put a 20 amp fuse in that fan fuse spot to see if it would blow.it didnt and now the fans come on as normal and no SES.good news right..wrong!

my car runs fine for the first couple minutes until i believe it goes into open loop or something.i took the 20 amp fuse otu and put a 10 amp back in there and it didnt blow, fans still come on fine.im thinking i messed up an o2 sensor but i have NO SES!
my friend is sending me his o2 ext harness because in the winter i burnt the pass side o2 harnesses so i had to crimp and splice wires to the o2 harness then crimp extra wire to the wires coming from the car.someone said since i threw a fan code and a evap canister code the brown wire was prolly crossed with something else.but its so weird once the ses light went off now my car runs like ****.heres what it does:

bogs all over the place through RPM's,idle is REALLY rough, choppy, lopey.almost like it is going to die.i check fuel pressure and it is 38 at ACC and 40 at startup which is good and i changed the fuel filter.all igntion related parts are less than 1k old.any opinions??

It sounds to me like you burned the short to an open. I would get a PCM scan. Some codes set without a SES light. I willing to bet your problem is the EGR by the way it runs.
