Extended Crank Period

Has anyone messed with the crank tables to try and get their car to start faster?

my car will normally start right away, exept once in a while when it has gotten up to temp (173 deg F), and then set for about an hour, I have not been able to capture the exact coolant temp when this problem happens, but when it does happen, it could take close to 10 seconds for the car to start.

I see several crank related tables in tunercat, is anyone familiar with them?

also, car is a bolt on car, and not tuning has been done, is it normal to see some some knock at WOT in the upper RPM range (6k)? From my experience with carb'd motors, if your are gonna see/hear knock, it will be while under heavy load, and in higher gears. Could this be false knock? I went ahead, and gave another 2 deg advance across the board, to see if it got worse....but have not gotten any knock to speak of. Will loud exhaust cause false knock. oh yeah, none of this have ever cause and knock retard either.

thanks.
