YOU MUST WORK FOR THERE ADVERTISING TEAM. this statement doesnt give us any info on a release date, or aything.

why is it better than lt1 edit.

but the main question is, is it vin # locked

have that got a ballpark price yet.

Re: Tunercat for ODB2 - Wassup?

I don't advertise for them. I along with some other tuners (I think tjwong is one) have beta software.

Its really clear cut fuel and spark tables are seperated nicely, covers many years (not just one like HP tuners or LS1 edit does) and hes got models that are not covered by anyone else like 96 vortech trucks. I don't think i'm qualified to give you a price but I am assuming it will be cheaper than LS1 Edit (vin locked) and HP tuners software. The software I have isn't vin locked and I dont' know that he will try to vin lock the software.

Really I'm not qualified to say anything about the software (price, options, release date) other than its in the traditional TC format with submenu's for spark, fuel, etc and that its very easy to use.

I have a 01 Z28 here that I've been playing with on the software and finding bugs that are still in the software. I think the reason why it hasn't released quite yet is because of a few small bugs left in the software.

Anyway, the 01 I mentioned above went from a 13.90 stock to a 12.74 with tuning a catback and airlid.

I haven't tested, but i understand they will work with the 1mb pcm if that is what you are inquiring, as there are NO 03 04 fbodies.

In the famous tradition of the way TC does business, all of his OBD2 products will NOT be VIN locked. The interface is much like the traditional TC tuner software that we have used in the past. The OBD2 version will have the familiar look to of the OBD1 version. As quote the cost is about $380 which includes the hardware and one PCM definitionof your choice. Additional definitions will be at around $80. It will be the best OBD2 tuner bargain once released. The beta software I have has all the tables that the Hp Tuner and LS1 edit boys has. Also TC will offer free updates to his software as before, there will be no fees associated for software updates as with the others that charges $50 and up.

Re: Tunercat for ODB2 - Wassup?

Thanks for the update guys. Good things always seem to take some time. Any idea on release date? I don't have an immediate "must have" but I do get asked from time to time about doing some ODB2 stuff and I always have to decline. I do this stuff for fun only so I can't really justify an investment in HP Tuners or another Vin locked product.

Re: Tunercat for ODB2 - Wassup?

Wait for TC! As for HPTuners they price you on what they can get. Lately it changes weekly depending on who says they are releasing a new tuning package. They are being threatened now so they have lowered the price a bunch, but do not fall for the price game. TunerCat will take care of you! And listen to The Highlander, he knows what he is talking about.

Lets all stick with TC, support the people that look after you!
