Egr Q

If I disabled the EGR electrical failure, error 27 and EGR diagnostic error 27 would that affect the performance of my egr valve. I'm trying to pass emissions and am looking for some clues as to why I keep failing even with a cat. If it makes a difference I disabled them using tunercat. If anyone has suggestions on where to set the ecm constants to maximize the cleanleness of my car for a couple of minutes. I've also heard that if you get the car running hot that helps. Like I said I'm open to suggestions. Thanks

What are you failing for? EGR reduces NOx. Unless that's what you are failing for, fixing the EGR might not help. Without knowing the test results - actual vs limit for HC, CO and NOx - its pretty hard to help.

Brand new cat on the car, with those readings I maybe had 10 miles on it...I looked at the most recent test I failed and the readings were better than posted above and that had a few more miles on it. My hydro carbons were still pretty high.
