Ecm Pin Help

I did a T-56 conversion in the camaro and am figuring out my wiring. I am hooking up the reverse lockout and i know i have to hook the B side of the connector to pin D6 (blue connector) on the ecm. Now i have to find a keyed hot. Do you think it would be easier to tap into the hot wire in the reverse light plug, or go up to the computer and tap a pin thats not used currently, but is a keyed hot. Thanks Prorac1

Re: Ecm Pin Help

When I converted my 94 I used the hot wire from the reverse lights for the reverse lock out solenoid.

I didn't have an extra pin to add a wire to my pcm so I moved the light green wire from spot #7 on the black connector to spot #6 on the blue connector and spliced into it at the connector that plugged into my auto trans.

Re: Ecm Pin Help

when i did the conversion, i grabbed the 6 speed harness, so i have it wired up like a stock m6. I have a friend that works at the dealer, so i have acess to the pins and pliers. But i think thats what im going to do, just tap the reverse light harness. Thanks, prorac1
