Did I pop my computer?

I finally got my car running a while back and have been doing the slow task of fine tuning the car. Yesterday I set the tps sensor to the set level of .67 volts with a volt meter. While I was doing this, I heard some clicking and the the air pump started running on and off just like the car was warming up. The only thing was that I only had the key forward. After I set the tps, I turned the key off and unplugged the battery to reset the computer. I tried to start it up and NOTHING. The damn thing won't start. I checked the Ignition fuse under the hood and it was fine. I check the plugs and they were good (not soaked). What did I do? Did I pop the computer or is the opti fried. Or is there a fuse that I am missing. If I turn the key on the fuel pump turns on so that takes that one out and the fuel pressure is good.
I am not able to check spark and turn the key at the same time.
If you need more info let me know.

Can you scan it for trouble codes? That might help us narrow it down.

No codes, I can't get it to start for codes to appear.
I don't have a scanner only a code checker. The checker says no codes.
This one has me stumped and scratching my head.
I used this method for setting the tps sensor. http://www.golenengineservice.com/html/tps.html

What kind of info do you guys need?
I am at a loss here.
So far:

new modual
all fuses are good
fuel and fuel pressure good
plugs look fine

I still have no spark.
What should I check next?
The car ran before I did the tps adjustment.
Help.

Check all of connectors leading down to the opti....

Are you getting spark off the coil at all? Not off the opti..the coil itself.
Do you have an aftermarket ignition on the car? If so, try removing and running on stock ignition.
Test/Replace the ICM...

I have no power to the coil.
Where does the coil wire lead to in the harness to get power?

Sam, did you find where the coil gets power? I've searched and couldn't find a direct answer for 97's but I think it gets power from an ignition fuse which is powered from the ignition switch. 12V with key on, No PCM required.
97 OBD 2, I have a green wire and a tan wire to the coil. Tan wire is 12 volts.
I'm chasing an problem with mine so I'd like to know what happened.

Check the fuse listing in your Owner's Manual. It will show you what fuse the coil is on.
