Re: deleting egr with tunercat

i wanted to get headers without emmissions hook ups to free up clutter in the engine bay. And i was wondering if tunercat was able to be used to program out egr and air.

Yes, you can...its in the ecm switch table. Un select all the sgr stuff and it wont throw a code again. This is in TC btw

You also might want to zero out the max RPM for EGR enable, to make sure EGR is off. Simply unchecking the diagnostic switch won't stop the PCM from commanding EGR. Obviously this doesn't matter if you've mechanically disabled the system.

so if i wipe out the egr system and uncheck everything, then it should all drive normal, and i shouldn't have any problems.
