Datamaster install help

I have Windows XP Home SP2 installed on my IBM 390X laptop. I'm trying to install the latest version of the Datamaster software, but I keep getting a "16 bit Windows Subsystem" error message that says "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application." What causes this type of error message, and what can I do to fix it? It's happened with a few other programs I try to run on this computer too. BTW, the AUTOEXEC.NT file doesn't even exist in that directory.

Re: Datamaster install help

Not sure why your getting that error but you can't see autoexec.nt because it's a system file.

You need to change your view to enable viewing of system/hidden files.

I did that already, but still couldn't find it.

EDIT: I found a copy of the AUTOEXEC.NT file on another computer, copied it over, and now it works! Thanks for the suggestion - even though I had already looked, it got me thinking again, and finally figured out a solution.
