datamaster displaying wrong data

okay I have been having problems with my car. I been cleaning all sensors unplugging things just to get it to stop surging. Now it just idles at 2000 rpm and steady, so a difference. But my datamaster I cannot find anything wrong, no sensors no codes. But I noticed that the rpm is fluctuating and I get that 6375. I have it atleast once in any records. Why is it displaying the wrong rpm data when my car is actually at 2000 and even the motor by listening can tell its steady not bouncing around like the program says?

thanks

Just curious, have you checked you TPS voltages to see if they are within the acceptble range.

yah on the datamaster it is 0.65 volts. funny thing is once I start it if i say push on the pedal or just keep the engine running above idle it won't do anything. Its once it reaches idle it sits for a second with the tach twitching then it will start increasing the rpm and stay at 2000 rpm. Before it used to surge but after fiddling with all the sensors and cleaning it will just have a high idle.
