So I got the laptop hooked up and datamasters running today and went out to do some logging. I went 0-100 and everything seemed ok, then when I let off and slowed down I heard a funny sound coming from up front. Now at idle and stuff the car cycles through from like 0-69,000 counts of knock...eek...and when I give it gas the spark advance goes down to like 5 and the spark knock or whatever goes up to crazy numbers like 15 and stuff...It didn't do that before...I have no idea what the problem is. It was fine before the run. When I went into Engine Bit display the box BW 13, Bit 6 is red and says 1 = Engine MALF occured. That sounds bad to me, any ideas?

 

What did the "funny sound coming from up front" sound like? Could be something simple like mechanical contract from a broken motor mount, or header hitting the steering shaft.... or it could be more serious like a spun bearing, or any other mechanical damage that causes enough hammering to activate the knock sensor.
