Custom Tune'd PCM?

I been lookin around at geting a Custom Tune Done on my Stock T/A. I allmost all was run 93octan but with gas prices on the rise(like allwas) i would like to be able to run Mid 89octan from time to time(Saveing upto $.15 per gal). Can a PCM be tune'd to self adjust it self??

You can run the crappiest fuel if you want, just have Madz28 or PCMforLESS tune it.

Re: Custom Tune'd PCM?

Although I have detuned several to make them work with low octane, these cars were meant for premium only. I would definetely not save any money at the cost of possibly destroying or reducing engine life.

LS1s have a dedicated timing table for lower octane, so you really don't need tuning for it, if you decide to run mid-grade. I still wouldn't go wide open throttle on mid-grade though.

Just my $0.02.
