Ok another thing I just remembered but I'm pretty sure has nothing to do with this (could be wrong). I did "relocate" the wire harness from the RS strut tower to the RS wheel well above the liner. That project required some cutting, and soldering but I'm pretty sure those wires are for the lighting on the front end. I had it scanned again by a GM tech and he's almost positive it's something in the ABS module. Anything I can do to fix/rebuild that without buying one from a dealer for about $1200? I could get one off of a wrecked Vette, Camaro, or TA but the same thing could happen again in 2 months. Thanks a lot!

Well I just found an ABS module at a salvage yard for $150 so whether that's the problem or not I'm going to swap it out and see what happens. I did however learn some new info. That particular ABS module is a Bosch and they only used it on the 98s (I've also heard of 98 Vettes having this problem) and in 99 they went to a different brand. Apparently you can only use that model Bosch on the 98s with a V8 and Traction Control. We'll see...

I got the module swapped out and the lights went off and the ASR worked...for about 10 miles. The the "ASR OFF" & "ABS INOP" lights came back on, but no "BRAKE" light this time so I assume that's good. It seems to reset itself every time you turn the car on, drive for a few miles, then the lights come back on. I'm thinking I may have to take it to a shop with a Tech II scanner and let them run it through cylces to calibrate it (at least I hope that's the problem). Again...we'll see...
