Could this be OBDI high stall issue?

I recently installed an Edge 3000 stall converter in my '94 Z28. I went to my first race yesterday and it ran fine for 3 time trials. However, in the 1st round, it didn't want to shift into 2nd, and after I let off the gas, it shifted to third and stayed in third. Even when I stopped at the ET booth, it stayed in 3rd when I took off again. When I got back to the pits, I turned the car off and started it back up and everything seemed to be normal until I went to make another pass, and it did the same thing as I just described again.

I've emailed Bryan at pcmforless already, but I wanted to get as much input as possible, because the points races start this Saturday 2/26.

I must also mention that the transmission was rebuilt at the same time, and I haven't completely ruled out that it could be mechanical problems.

FWIW, I went from a stock converter to this Edge 3000, and my car picked up 4 tenths. 2 tenths in the 60' The car really leaves hard for a stock motored car.

Yep. Your car went into limp mode. After you turned the car off then restarted it. You probably were OK. You need to have some one reprogrm your PCM for the Edge TC.

Bryan fixed mine. The only drawback is your car will not downshift from 2nd to 1st after the flash.

Gotta love the Edge.

Stock B body LT1 with bolt ons. No power adders.

Will somebody tell me how to fix this problem, or a bin file I can see?
I have a friend with this problem and I promised him I would fix it, but I'm not sure how.

Thanks

When I told him I would fix it, I thought that I had a good idea how.
Now I'm not for sure if it will work.

You can share your knowledge on this or you can keep it to yourself.
I hope you will share.

Got a fix from Bryan at PCMforless. Took the car to the track yesterday, and it shifts perfectly! Thanks!

You'll have to ask Bryan at pcmforless. If he wants to give it to you, he can, but I'm not going to give away his product.

Re: Could this be OBDI high stall issue?

I have been having this problem for a while. I have since bought a beefed up rebuilt 4L60E and an Edge 3400. The first think I plan on doing is taking the car to my tuner to have him make any changes necessary for the stall change. Can someone please PM me or e-mail me with anymore information on how to fix this, my tuner is unaware of how to do it. I will do whatever it takes to get this problem fixed, please either give me some tips to give my tuner or direct me to somewhere where I can fix it.

Thanks
