converter locking and unlocking on top end run.....

converter locking and unlocking on top end run.....
OK. I noticed today that my converter will lock and unlock on a top speed run. starting at 140-145 the converter will unlock for a while then relock. Seems to stay locked at around 155 and up according to speed reading on datamaster.
Any ideas why I am getting this??
