Confirming a PCM got fried

Hey all,

on my RX7, the guy before me did not wire well and I lost 12V power to the PCM while the PCM was operating the engine (it was idling). A wire was loose and broke 12V connection so the engine stopped and the PCM could not be read after I repaired the power connection.

Can PCM's get fried like this? Seems odd but the reality is another good PCM I had on hand did fire the engine back up.

Ben
