computer swap

how hard is it to swap a computer in a LT1 car just pull and plug do you needa tune anything basically a stock car that has a bad computer

Nothing special. Just as you said. Either factory or junk yard and get the correct year.

Let's get to the real question: why do you think the computer is bad? They generally do not go bad.

a buddy of mine has a 95 camaro z28 i believe and was having problems he bought it about 3 months back and it started misfiring swapped out 3 different optis coils and everything along those lines and it still does it he took it into a mechanic and he hooked it up to the computer and apparently it has had some sort of custom tune to it and is all screwed up from what we can tell the mechanic said it would cost 900.00 for a new computer and distributor we laughed

I know you don't need a 99, but give them a call & see what they have. Worked fine for me.
