computer chips

what are some of the major manufacturers of performance computer chips. i want to investigate this a little and find about cost, benefits, installation. i found jet chip.com and they have some for $309. i was thinking about buying a used one and having it reprogrammed.

Since you have a 96, you won't use chips. It is OBDII and you need a programmer of some kind.

He is correct. Check out performancechips101. You can find it by searching google.com. It should answer some of your basic questions.
