code 72
code 72
i've been trying to run flshread.exe, but as it starts reading the pcm, it says, " terminal error has occured. this program will now shut down. code 72."
i've tried it with 3 different PCM's, and it says the SAME thing for all of them....not only does the error occur while reading the PCM, but it also makes the pcm shut down...and ofcourse, i have to disconnect the pcm to get it back to normal again.
has anyone had a problem like this before?
my PC is a 1.8 Ghz with more RAM than it knows what to do with, so i know that's not the issue. the only thing that comes to mind is that there might be an error in the flshread.exe.

I assume your talking about Tunercat and its reading program in DOS?
It sounds like something is wrong with either the cable or your laptop... If you've tried it on multiple PCM's, then i would think that rules the PCM link out, so try it another PC.
Or E-Mail tuner cat, its their error message, hopefully they know what causes it.

it's pcmforless.com
yeah, it was running in DOS. i'm thinking that if there was something wrong with the cable, it wouldnt work at all, it wouldnt go up to 85% and then stop.
on the PC, i'm running win2000, so now, i'm in the process of trying it with win XP.

FINALLY!! it worked!! i tried a laptop and the original computer, and finally, on the third computer, it worked....
i guess some motherboards/programs just dont get along with the flshread...which is why it was showing errors.
i'm a very happy camper now!
