Code 15, 1993 Z/28

I am having a problem with a coolant sensor. I have a "service engine soon light" showing code 15 for faulty coolant sensor. Apart from the obvious light, my fans come on as soon as I start the car, and they do not shut off. I replaced the sensor on the front of the water pump and the engine light is still on, as well as the fans. The dash temp gauge appears to be reading fine, I know the gauge uses a single wire sensor in the head though.
Any ideas? A short in the plug perhaps?

Thanks,
Rob

Check or replace the pigtail. It is very common for the wires to break and intermittently or permently go open. If you watch the cts readings while moving the wires you will see this very easily.
