Cluster not working

im doing alot of weight reduction and i started removing wires, so far i have removed the cigarette lighter wires, TCS, Airbag, Ebrake, seatbelt, console light, radio (passenger side only so far with the antenna) and alarm sensor thats above the passenger side rear tire. i plugged my gauge cluster back in and my oil pressure and voltmeter are bother working but no temp and no tach (dont know about speedometer because the car still has no seat in it) i traced the tach signal wire from the cluster all the way to the PCM and its still intact. also traced the grounds and theyre good as well. any ideas?

86, I only have a '94 service manual, can give you the cluster pin info, but I can't verify if it's correct for a '96. Problem is the working and non-working gauges in your cluster share the same voltage source. +12 ign pin D7, ground pin D8. There is also a +12 V IGn pin C14. Temp comes in pin D3, tach pin D5. Does your idiot lite stay on for oil pressure, or is it just the gauge. Also check gauges indicator should come on if either of the OIL, GEN or TEMP lites are on. It's hard to see but the PCM puts out 50 RPM to the tach with ign on engine off, does the tach flicker when you turn the key on ?
