Checked out my cable ... is this right ?
Checked out my cable ... is this right ?
I have an original AKM DLC cable.
Simple setup:
Comport - RS232 cable == INTERFACE UNIT (serial#307) === RS232 - OBD1 conn cable
Bought it used only to find out that i needed an OBD2 connector.
Now, i was thinking of changing that myself as it would require an OBD2 connector and connecting the right wires.
I opened the RS232 connector and noticed that there are ONLY 2 wires connected (pin 1 red wire and pin 5 white wire) that lead to the OBD1 connector that has 5 pins in total (probably some internally connected).
Are these 2 wires enough to rig it up to an OBD2 connector ???
P.s. 2 other wires were connected to that same RS232 connector at pin 22 and 25 BUT they are cutoff and don't lead to any connector.
Anybody who understands this ??
