changing computer from obd1-obd2. Need advice please
Well I'm sure you guys probably know about the obd1 high stall problem. If you don't already know, 94 and 95 fbodys' don't take particularly well to having stalls higher than 2800 rpms and even in my case the 2800 presented problems when pulling 60' times quicker than 1.65. My tranny is currently being rebuilt so I thought I'd use the opportunity to have the stall raised from 2800 to 3200. I'm going to have to use an obd2 computer in order for this to work properly but I need to know if there are any other things I might need to change. I know about the knock sensor but what else? Thanks for any help you guys can give.
The knock sensor is the biggie, but when I installed my OBDII PCM, I used LT1Edit for OBDII to remove the crank position sensor and rear O2 sensor codes. That way my dash didn't light up like a christmas tree.
I also made a custom interface cable, and repinned my wiring harness. I took "B" on the OBDI ALDL connector over to Blue 7, which is the OBDII Port on the PCM. I built a monster of a cable to allow connection to AutoTap/LT1Edit for OBDII through that pin. But that's just an option, and not required.
The only part I really had to do with this was move the wire on Blue 20 to Blue 7, and then build the cable.

Thanks for the reply Ragtop. I'm having the KS disabled so is it still necessary for it to be replaced? Will I have to run another wire from the ALDL connector to the computer in order for the computer to function or is that strictly for programming/diagnosis?
