Car runs with fuel pump relay?

Sorry guys for reposting this in a diffrent for but I really need to fix the problem that I am having and I dont seem to be getting any help. The car was running one night when I come home and shut the car off. The next morning the car would not start. I found the fuel pump relay and pulled it out and the car fired right up. It would not idel but i could give it a little gas and it would be fine. But could not rev to high or it would start cutting in and out. With the car running I put the fuel pump relay back in and the car dies. I really need help this car is my daily driver. Its a 94 z28 with the lt1. Any ideas would help alot thatnks.

Is it possible someone bypassed the relay by using the "fuel pump prime connector" next to the PCM? When you turn the key to run (without starting the engine), does the pump initially run for about 2 seconds, then shut down?

Did you check the fuel pump relay socket to see if possibly there is a short from the pink wire at terminal 30 to the gray fuel pump supply wire at terminal 87?

Has a second pump been added to accomodate the requirements of your nitrous system? (If you have one.... not clear from the signature).
