Did you consider a clogged gas filter or bad pump? Also, what is the vaccum at, maybe there is a leak that you only see at high rpms. I know its impossible to be able to judge vaccum when it's screwing up but is it normal all other times? (normal is -20 to 0 without boost).

Maybe you should get on the board and beg someone to swap computers. Its a pretty safe thing to do as long as you take it slow and carefully. I have done it plenty of times with no ill affect. Maybe just buy a used one and sell it off if you can't get your hands on one.

Other then that it could be the opti.
