i have tried it all to get rid of this KR problem i am having. for some reason its only around 2000 RPM and part throttle while im running around in town. no KR above or below the 2000 RPM area so its strange. you can actually hear the RRs pick up right around 2k(same area and time i get the KR) so i am assuming this is false knock but could it possibly be pinging?? i keep decreasing the timing where im getting knock but its not helping and im not going to take any more timing out since its only in that one spot. my last straw was to just zero the knock retard out but it didnt work in tunercat there are 4 tables associated with total KR and those are Max Knock retard vs RPM, Max Spark retard vs RPM, Max knock retard vs MAP and Max spark retard vs MAP. when you change one of the MAP charts it automatically changes the otehr.. same goes with RPM so im kinda wondering why you need all 4 but whatever works. anyway i zerod the RPM up to 2k and i am still seeing 1800 RPM knock retard as much as 9 degrees at times and the MAX retard anywhere in my file is 6 or 7. so why if i zero out the knock am i still getting some and has anyone else experiences this KR zone 1800-2000 rpm?

Get some real good fuel or some good octane boost and see if it continues. If it goes away or lessens, it's real, if not, you have other problems,
