Cant figure out tuner cats

I just got the tuner cats/datamaster and cant figure out how to use it. I cant figure out how to calibrate my car. The set up prosses is overwelming. Is it really this difficult.
What do I have to set up before using this program?
Its registered already.
I clicked ecm and clicked pcm_ee. Thats as far as I can figure out

If you are having this much trouble now, wait until you get to the programming. Read their help and look at the menus at the top. I don't know if there is a Tunercat tutorial out there, but some searching (here and Google) should find you some guidance.

Do file>open...choose a filename and select a com port.

Ok, I got the datamaster to scan the car but I had to use 1 of my trial data recordings.
Is there a way to monitor my engine without using any of the trial recordings?

You can star here http://www.lt1pcmtuning.com/tips/ It will take lots of reading and probably months of trial and error. Basically purchasing the software is like buying a tool now you have to learn use it. It's like buying a socket wrench, any one will sell you one , but they don't come with directions.
