Hey new to site just bought obd 1 cabl. And downloaded datamaster on laptop but it want let me datalog i go to comport theres like 8 different ones but it want click on them its like the computer isnt pullin them up r maybe im doing something wrong any help would be great thanks oh ya bought cabl.from moats.com

Are the COM ports listed darkened in the Datamaster display box or are they grey? If grey, they are not available to use. Datamaster just puts them there to indicate they might be available and darkens them if they are available. If a driver isn't loaded, the one you need will appear grey in Datamaster, or not at all in my app, Scan9495. If you still need help, I can tell you how to check, using the Device manager in Windows, to see if a driver is loaded correctly for the cable.

 

I no the basics when it come to useing a computer but yea all comport will not let me click on none i tryed the control panel and tryed to fix it didnt really no what i was doing i went to something about usb control but like i said dont really no what im doin more info will help on how to go to device manager thanks
