Can you soften a hard shifting tranny with tables?

Now I know most on this board love the hard shifts and actually use these tables to increase them but I am about to go level 3 with my tranny (its starting to slip thanks to the powerdyne) and want it to shift the way it does now. Does anyone have any experience dropping the pressure levels to get a softer shift out of it after a rebuild like this? The rebuild will be done by LT1Dave so please pipe in if you have any experience with his rebuilds as well.

well a softer shift means the tranny is clutching more. which means more ware a tare for the tranny. since you are slipping you want a fast firm shift to cause less ware and tare. also since you are already slipping, hard shifts could destroy your tranny. either way you have to rebuild it to fix the slippage.

LT1Dave in Cincinnati? If so, he's a nice guy and many people in our city have great things to say about him.

I'm sure you can soften the shifts up with tables, but don't have any experience doing it.

Sorry about the confusion Red. I meant after the tranny was rebuilt with level3 I want to soften it. Dave is suggesting the level 3 with a blower on the street. Level 4 if I was going to the track (and only 450hp). Just shows how weak the parts are for an A4.
