Dan, Autotap will show you an AFR based on the narrow band O2 sensors. You will need a wideband setup to accurately monitor the AFR. I am using the LM1 from Innovate Technologies.

No. As Ken suggested, unless you have a wide band sensor there is no way to measure the AF ratio. Some software will "estimate" it based on a calculation. Do not rely on this. All a narrow band sensor can be used for is to measure rich/lean compared to 14.7:1.

Would it be possible to get 1 (or 2) wideband O2 sensors, and place them in the exhaust, and then run the output lead to the rear o2 sensor input to the pcm... You could leave the sensors turned off in the pcm... but if you could get them to interface, you could monitor/log the output of the widebands if you have and OBD2 pcm.

That would be nice as hell if it work. What do you think Rich?

I believe that a wideband o2 sensor "speaks a different language" for lack of a better term than the stock o2 sensors do. I don't know if it would work properly.

I haven't heard of anyone hacking the PCM code to be able to utilize a WB O2 sensor. But AFAIK the output is still the same: 0-1000mV

If that is the case, It would work hooked up to the rear 02 sensor inputs. You would still turn off the rear O2s in the PCM, but the data could still be monitored/logged as needed.

I had the rear O2s on my car turned off before they were removed, and I could still monitor their output. The PCM wouldn't need to be 'hacked' as it would ignore the input information anyhow.
