Cable question

I have an OBD1 cable and a friend with a 97 converted his car to an OBD1 for tunning. I have never tried so I don't know. Would an OBD1 cable connect to an OB2 connector? I'm thinkin it won't but figured I'd ask. Also would a Hypertech cable for an OBD2 car be used? Thanks

No you cant use an OBD1 cable for the OBD2 connector, I have a conversion in my 97 and it still has the OBD2 connector, he would need the OBD2 cable.

95 is OBD1 but, uses the OBD2 connector. So a OBD2 connector will work on a 95 OBD1 car.
