Question Broken digital odometer ??

1997 Camaro Z28 (with the digital odometer and trip odometer) - all of a sudden both stop counting miles, but the display is still lit and the speedometer works. Does anyone know what's involved in these odometers well enough to recommend a fix? Thanks for da help!

Well i am not exactly an expert on the digital Odometer, But i do know that the odometer and trip are driven from the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor). So if the MPH and RPM is still working, i would doubt it would be the VSS, but if those gauges AREN'T working either, that would be a good place to start looking.

I remember the earlier cars Trip ODO being reset by very cold weather sometimes, that sure is an odd one though. Sounds like an interesting problem, since its illegal to tamper with the Odometer stuff that sounds like it might be a dealer issue if not an easy to find out external sensor, under warranty still?
