YOUR FRIEND IS RIGHT.
you need the thick of what you did to it last that would make it go lean
Re: BLMs at 160 all the time?
I haven't done anything to it recently. I am having a problem getting it started. I have to prime it once or twice before it just starts right up. Maybe the fuel pump?
Re: BLMs at 160 all the time?
I scanned it again this morning and they read 160 on both sides at idle in closed loop. At 3k rpms the left side drops to 142 and the right goes down to 158. Could it possibly be the regulator? If so how do I test it or should I just buy a new fuel pump?
Re: BLMs at 160 all the time?
Either fuel pressure, o2's or a vacume leak, any leak before the MAF wil do this for ya.
Reason being, MAF will read low as not all air will pass through it, PCM will start with little fuel, then the 02's will be like HEY thats all screwy, need to compensate by BLA.
Then what happens is you are already rich in open loop but the PCM learns LEAN and adds 40 BLM of lean into the open loop formula making her hella rich just before starting, once started should be ok as the thing would continue to have the leak before the MAF.
So check that, perhaps a rip on the elbow.

IF your car has good fuel pressure, pull the vacum line off your regulater and spray a very small amount of gas or sarting fluid in the line, if you car starts right up, your injectors are to clogged to spray the correct amount of fuel to start your car.
